The Charleston Cookie Co. LLC has won the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Month Award.
Charleston Cookie is the brain-child of Judith Moore, former securities trader, psychologist and corporate customer-service rep. Since its launch in October 2003, Moore's charge has been a darling of the business community, perhaps because of the sheer number of free treats the company leaves at meetings around the city, a campaign in cookies.
The company offers eight varieties of cookies and brownies, which are sold in tins and bags at charlestoncookie.com, farmers markets, small shops and restaurants. Area hotels also stick their hands in the jar.
